This was the stupid letter haning in TSC with a few observatiosns by the Target Clique.

Let's Get Back To The Brand
(Version 1.1)

1.  When taking breaks outside, do not stand in front of the building.  Please go to the parking lot by the team member parking area.

2.  Do not sit on the bench or stand by the trash cans.  This is a distraction to our guests.
Aren't 1 and 2 the exact same?  How is this a distraction to our guests since last time I checked we dont sell any merchandise on the bench.

3.  If it is raining and you need to go out and smoke, etc. Please sit in your car. We have many guest who do not smoke and that is offensive to them when they come into the front doors and have to breath your smoke.
This is just bullshit. What if you don't have a car like nicotene-addicted Bridget. Or you park by Pepboys why the hell would you want to walk out to the other side of the parking lot to get a fix. Also I think that ashtrays were built into the garbage cans IN FRONT of the store for a reason. And like Cactus Russ says smokers have rights too.

4.  Team Member Parking- Please park in the last aisle by the fence to the left of the building if your are looking at the building. All other parking is for our guest.
Whats wrong with parking next to Pepboys I don't see guest wanting to park in east bufu anyways.  Not to mention how do the guests know which cars are ours.  Lets compare the number of complaints we have gotten about our store versus the number of complaints we have about there not being enough parking spots.

5.  Drinks on the floor.  You may have drinks on the floor ONLY when the store is not opened.  If we continue to find team members with drinks on the floor when the store is open, we will have to eliminate drinks completely.
First of all its good to know that our hours are being put to good use such as catching the evil team members who have drinks on the sales floor, Great Job Target!  Secondly, how about not letting guests have drinks on the sales floor seeing how everyone wastes some part of their shift cleaning up some spilled drink.  Also, I would like to know how they plan on eliminating drinks completely, that should be interesting.

6.  When taking breaks or lunches, please do not hang out on the salesfloor.  Please go "offstage".  This is a distraction to our team members and our guest.
I wonder if our LODs ever read the target team member handbook?  In it, it says please refrain from shopping unless you are on your break or lunch, if Im offstage...how can I shop.  So much for the Target slogan of fast, fun, and friendly, at least not to each other because if we cant even say hi I guess the store is just fast and fun...oh wait just fast.

7.  PLEASE,  keep the break room clean.  After you are finished eating, please remove all items from the table.  Remember, there are other team members that will need to use the tables after you.
I guess this a good rule, but is it neccessary?  As a general rule when I go into the break room its pretty clean for serving 100 plus people.  Not to mention it makes us sound like we are in kindergarten.

SMILE and say HI to all guest
Right after that motivational letter lets just all be really happy to be employed at such an anal store.  Finally, have these people ever heard of the letter 'S' it usually follows a plural noun, such as guest.  We'll just have to work these simple grammar issues later.  Good to know those college degrees are well deserved.
